Lakebase is an online transactional processing (OLTP) engine that is fully integrated with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You can create a database instance, a new compute type, which provides dedicated, PostgreSQL compatible storage and compute, enabling you to run transactional workloads alongside your Lakehouse data. Lakebase is a fully managed Postgres database integrated into the Databricks platform.
