You can now create skills to extend Databricks Assistant in Agent mode with specialized capabilities for domain specific tasks. User skills follow the open Agent Skills standard and are automatically loaded when relevant. Genie Code ships with built in skills for common Databricks workflows: writing code in notebooks, exploring data in Unity Catalog, building dashboards, creating pipelines, and working with MLflow.
This maintains an efficient context window and reduces the need to provide the same context across multiple chats.
