SET METADATA ON COLUMN and UNSET METADATA ON COLUMN SQL commands are now available for managing semantic metadata on Unity Catalog table columns. Use SET METADATA ON COLUMN to attach properties (display name, format, and synonyms) to columns. Use UNSET METADATA ON COLUMN to remove previously set metadata properties.
