Share Genie Agents externally using OpenSharing

Enable external collaboration by sharing Genie Agents with users outside your organization.

What it does

OpenSharing allows providers to share a Genie Agent with external users by creating a point-in-time snapshot of the agent's data assets and instructions. Recipients can then mount this share to create a local Genie Agent that is pre-loaded with the shared data and instructions. This feature requires specific permissions and setup, including enabling the Genie Agent Sharing preview and having the appropriate access rights on the Unity Catalog metastore.

Why it matters

This capability enhances collaboration and data sharing across organizational boundaries, enabling teams to leverage shared resources effectively. By allowing external users to access Genie Agents, organizations can foster partnerships, streamline workflows, and improve productivity without compromising data governance.
