High-throughput capabilities for real-time applications are now generally available.
AI Search High QPS allows users to set a target Queries Per Second (QPS) on standard AI Search endpoints, enabling support for high-throughput workloads such as search bars and recommendation systems. By default, standard endpoints support 20–200 QPS, but with this feature, users can configure a target QPS of 1000 or more, provisioning additional infrastructure to meet demand. The scaling of throughput is best-effort and not guaranteed, meaning actual performance may vary based on several factors including index size and query complexity.
This update significantly enhances the performance of real-time applications, allowing businesses to handle increased query loads without degradation in service. Organizations that rely on high QPS for critical applications can improve user experience, reduce latency, and avoid errors related to traffic overload, ultimately leading to better customer satisfaction and retention.
